Bayonet Shaft Winches

***Currently out of stock. Please call for updates regarding timelines***

  • Fixed mount
  • 1-1/2 inch main shaft with a standard 2-7/16 inch bayonet adapter to accept either a bayonet type collapsible reel or capstan.
  • Reversible.
  • No maintenance. All components lubricated by hydraulic oil.
  • The B30 brakes hydraulically and will drift some when holding a load.
  • 6-3/4 in. wide x 7 in. high (w/o fittings) x 16 in. long.
  • Weight: 68 lbs.

  • Same as B30-F with rotating base.
  • Rotates 360 degrees.
  • 60 positions - locks in 6 degree increments.
  • Can be removed from the base by simply removing the locking pin.
  • 6-3/4 in. wide x 10 in. high (w/o fittings) x 16 in. long
  • Weight: 79 lbs.
  • Requires quick couplings or swivels on hydraulic hoses.
  • Lower picture shows optional BD capstan and optional mounted dual counterbalance valve.

  • 2 way receiver tube mount.
  • Can mount to receiver hitches, custom receiver tube mounts on trucks and equipment or to fixtures with a receiver connection. When used with the BD capstan, it will fit our MVK manhole and vault kits.
  • Use with our HB7-4 hydraulic power supply and FV2-M foot control valve for a portable and productive bayonet shaft winch.
  • Shown with optional mounted dual counterbalance valve and optional FF type quick couplings.
  • Weight as shown: 76 lbs.

BD Capstan

  • Bayonet capstan
  • Fits B30 series capstan drives.
  • Recessed areas on capstan designed to increase rope grip without compromising feathering ability or rope wear.
  • Machined aluminum construction.
  • Weight: 8 lb.

B30 Series Specifications

  • Note: Maximum operating capacity and pressures will vary depending on the type of device used on the bayonet shaft. Offset type capstans that extend beyond the bayonet shaft have less capacity and require lower operating pressure due to leverage on the shaft and bearings. The offset type capstan capacity listed below is based on capstans less than 15 inches in overall length. Consult with ACP for other applicatons.
  • For reversible applications where it is necessary to hold the load, a dual counterbalance valve may be required. See winch options for more counterbalance valve information.

Maximum operating pressure: 1600 to 2200 psi. (see note).
Maximum line pull with BD capstan: 2000 lb. @ 2200 psi.
Maximum line pull with 7 in. working diameter offset type capstan: 1000 lb. @ 1600 psi.
Tension on 20 in. diameter reel: Approx. 500 lb. @ 2200 psi., 375 lb. @ 1600 psi.
Speed: 50 RPM at 4 GPM, 75 RPM at 6 GPM.
Hydraulic flow: up to 6 GPM.
Capstan rope speed at 6 GPM: 100 ft/min. with BD capstan, 150 ft/min. with 7 in dia. capstan.

  • Capstan line pulls and rope speeds are based on 5/8 dia. rope.
